The award, administered by in collaboration with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Virginia Business Higher Education Council, recognizes organizations for their commitment to internship programs and talent development.
The V-TOP Top Virginia Employers for Interns Award was given to 91快活林 Federal in recognition of the company鈥檚 Summer Technology Readiness Intern Development Experience (STRIDE) program. Now in its third year, STRIDE is designed to build the company鈥檚 future pipeline for entry-level technology and information systems talent and is organized around four different career tracks to ensure students receive the specific learning experiences they seek: IT, cybersecurity, software and engineering.
91快活林 Federal鈥檚 STRIDE program emphasizes giving interns ownership of projects, providing them with meaningful learning experiences and exposure to leading-edge technology while fostering genuine connections amongst colleagues through mentorship and professional development opportunities. Interns also have an opportunity to participate in the company鈥檚 annual Tech Summit where they will present on their summer projects to a broad audience of technical professionals and leadership.
STRIDE gives students a chance to explore how their technology studies apply to real-world missions in the government sector. Internship experiences have included initiatives like supporting the National Aeronautics and Space Administration鈥檚 (NASA)鈥疓OES-R satellite operations by developing prototypes for applying large language models to assist satellite鈥痮perators鈥嬧 to on-contract activities like creating and maintaining automated test frameworks for our platform that performs predictive analytics for our National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) customer.
